Winter 2016 Capsule Wardrobe

Winter has finally arrived, and with it a breath of fresh air as I switch over my capsule wardrobe. I learned a lot from last season's capsule and I'm beginning to feel more comfortable with my style choices.

It's still a challenge to resist the urge to snap up a cute-and-cheap-but-useless-in-two-months piece every once in a while, but every time I add a classic, ethically made, slow fashion piece to my wardrobe it feels more and more complete. Also, with our recent downsizing move and the subsequent reduction in my closet space, I'm glad I began capsuling when I did. So here are my picks for the next three months. As a refresher, here are my personal rules:

What counts:

Tops
Bottoms
Dresses
Outerwear
Shoes

What doesn’t count:

Underwear/Socks
Workout Clothes
Pajamas
Accessories
Cocktail/Special Occasion
